The award-winning documentary film “Presumption of Guilt: ­ Race, Class and Crime in America” will be screened on Tuesday, April 24, 6:45 p.m. at Glenfield Middle School, 25 Maple Avenue, Montclair, NJ. An in-depth ”Talkback” will follow with the film’s multi-award winning director, Hafiz Farid. Admission to the event is free. Adults and teens are encouraged to attend.

The film -- written by Farid and Shelley Grodner Seidenstein -- is a powerful and compelling documentary based on the best-selling book by Harvard Law Professor Charles J. Ogletree, The Presumption of Guilt: The Arrest of Henry Louis Gates Jr. and Race, Class, and Crime in America. It features a number of prominent scholars, authors and religious leaders, including Charles J. Ogletree, Maya Angelou, Alan Dershowitz, Terrie M. Williams, Anita Hill, Tim Wise, Michelle Alexander, Lawrence Watson, Richard L. Taylor, Reverend Reginald Jackson, Larry Hamm, and Reverend Eugene Rivers.
