Saxophonist Mark Chernoff began playing saxophone at the age of 10. When he was 17 years old, he began studying with the master musician Ralph Bowen, and was accepted in Mason Gross School of the Arts to study jazz the following year. Mark Chernoff Quartet's music features original tunes by all band members, as well as arrangments and reharmonizations of standard tunes.
